A vacancy has arisen for a full time Mobile Lifting & Plant Advanced Tradesperson at PD Ports within the Engineering department.

 

Location: Tees Dock, Middlesbrough, TS6 6UD

Working Arrangements: 37.5 hours per week, rota based.

 

The main things our Mobile Lifting & Plant Advanced Tradesperson will be working on are:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on plant, machinery and services to a high standard.
  • Diagnosing faults and resolving issues before escalation with rapid fault identification and resolution, minimizing downtime and operational disruption.
  • Identifying recurring faults and addressing root causes, driving improvements in reactive and planned maintenance.
  • Completion of PMs to plan and closing out actions on time.
  • Identifying and recording work, defects and service sheets within required timescales alongside use of the company’s Asset Management system for work orders, asset updates, and inventory where required.
  • Supporting maintenance planning and prioritisation with Engineering and Operations departments and coordinating reactive maintenance efforts across teams or rotations.

 

We are seeking someone who:

  • Holds a HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Has a strong working knowledge of plant, machinery and services with good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Is competent with Microsoft Office systems and possesses exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Has supervisory or acting-up experience.
  • Holds an IOSH Managing Safely certificate and leadership/management training.
  • Can demonstrate analytical skills to be able to interrogate, analyse and evaluate previous/current repair information.
