Rail Freight Group (RFG)

The RFG is the representative body for rail freight in the UK. Members include rail freight operators, logistics companies, ports, equipment suppliers, property developers and support services who all aim to increase the volume of goods moved by rail.

Tees & Hartlepool Port Users Association

The Tees and Hartlepool Port Users' Association (THPUA) is the region's lobbying group for the shipping industry.

It exists to develop and promote the economic, efficient and effective movement of goods through the ports of Tees and Hartlepool in the interest of its members and their clients.

One of the main objectives of the THPUA is the promotion of the River Tees and its business community in order to generate and maintain cargo flows via the Ports of Tees and Hartlepool. The Association also exchanges information and coordinates activities among its 50 members, as well as consulting, cooperating and negotiating with PD Teesport - the Statutory Harbour Authority - and other private and public bodies which influence shipping activities within the ports.

The United Kingdom Major Ports Group Ltd (UKPMG) is the trade association representing most of the larger commercial ports in the UK. It’s nine members, including PD Ports, own and operate over 40 ports, accounting for more than 70% of the total tonnage handled in UK ports.
