A vacancy has arisen for an experienced analytical leader able to interpret data trends and provide data-driven, actionable insights to our business leaders at strategic, tactical and operational levels.

 

Location: Middlesbrough, Teesside.
Working Arrangements: Primarily on-site, some hybrid working.

 

The five main things our Business Insights Manager will be working on are:
• Creating a data strategy for the group, utilising the best technology, the right processes to empower our Business Leaders with relevant, timely and accurate information.
• Working closely with business leaders to bring together financial and non-financial data – transforming data and metrics into actionable insights.
• Creating and delivering reporting strategies for all levels: operational, tactical, and strategic.
• Coaching and mentoring operational teams in the effective use of data.
• Support the Group-wide continuous improvement strategy to improve safety performance, efficiency and service as well as maximise business opportunities.

 

We are seeking someone who:

• Has a demonstrable experience acting in a similar role as a leader in data strategy.

• Proven experience managing large volumes of data spread across multiple systems – with a track record of building meaningful data and reporting hierarchies.

• A commercially and technically astute problem solver who can quickly assimilate requirements.

• Demonstrate a track record of developing strong working relationships, at senior level, with a wide number of stakeholders.

• Previous working experience in a similar role for a minimum of 5 years.

• Excellent knowledge of data analytics and KPI development.

• Advanced IT skills – Excel and Qlik Sense experience as a minimum, but also an individual with experience of new and emerging technologies, with first hand leadership experience of deploying new technologies.

• Degree level education in a relevant field, valid UK driving licence.

• Ability to influence and challenge constructively.
