On Friday evening the Mission to Seafarers, South Tees, was presented with a generous donation from the Sea Cadets which will be used directly for the benefit of seafarers utilising the South Tees station.
Alexe Finlay, Secretary, said: “This is such a humbling donation from another local maritime charity. Tribute must also be paid to Stella Maris Chaplain, Peter Barrigan, and his dedicated team of ship visitors who work in conjunction with the Mission to Seafarers South Tees, and of course Aidan and Allison and the rest of their fantastic team at North Tees and Hartlepool.
“In all weathers, this join and integrated team visits all ships with supplies, a listening ear, friendship and a Christmas parcel for all onboard. This donation is hugely appreciated and will enable us to continue that great work.”
