A vacancy has arisen for a driven and collaborative full-time Business Development Manager at PD Ports within the Freight Forwarding team.

Location: Based out of Billingham covering North of England
Working Arrangements: Monday to Friday
The five main things our Business Development Manager will be working on are:
• Driving new business growth in sea, air, and road freight forwarding services across target sectors.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships to maximise revenue and cross-selling opportunities across PD Ports services.
• Working closely with operations, warehousing, and transport teams to deliver seamless end-to-end customer solutions.
• Identifying and pursuing strategic opportunities for market expansion, including high-value tenders and long-term contracts.
• Maintaining accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and CRM records to ensure visibility and accountability.

We are seeking someone who:
• Has proven experience in freight forwarding or wider logistics sales.
• Possesses strong commercial awareness and the ability to negotiate and close deals at senior level.
• Is an effective communicator, capable of influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
• Is highly self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a competitive environment.
• Has the flexibility to travel nationwide to meet clients and attend industry events.
