A vacancy has arisen for a highly skilled and qualified Facilities Electrician to join the Facilities team at PD Ports.

 

Location: Tees Dock Engineering Department

Working Arrangements: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

 

The ideal candidate will specialize in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the Port environments. The role demands expertise in high-voltage (HV) switching and maintenance, hazardous area compliance (CompEx/ATEX), and adherence to the latest industry standards, including the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

 

The five main things our Facilities Electrician will be working on are:

  • Electrical Maintenance and repair for port assets/buildings
  • Installation of new Electrical infrastructures
  • compEx/ATEX Warehouses and Gates and Automated systems
  • 240/415v motor and PLC drive systems
  • High Voltage networks

 

We are seeking someone who:

  • Fully time served Electrician with 8 years plus experience.
  • CompEx/ATEX Certification
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certification (BS 7671:2018)
  • Inspection and Testing Certificate (e.g., City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
  • EV Installation Certificate C&G 2921-34
  • HV Switching Qualification
  • Electrical design, City & Guilds 2396
