The Role

 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Training Instructors are responsible for delivering staff training to employees within the organisation. To support the business needs and expectations, in line with company policy.

 

Duties of the role include:

  • To provide training for existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond to new and alternative systems
  • To carry out evaluation, training and staff development
  • To prepare, develop and carry out all practical and theoretical training work as directed
  • To carry out induction and probation training of internal and external agency’s staff
  • To prepare progress reports in respect of training carried out
  • To visit any establishment within PD Ports to give workplace training as directed
  • To assist in the procurement of training from external providers
  • To assist in the formulation of new/revised procedures which will benefit PD Ports
  • To be aware of new training practices and equipment
  • To comply with all Health and Safety legislation and policy in the performance of the duties of the post
  • To report on internal KPI’s such as plant, labour and inspections
  • Contribute towards achieving targets such as health and safety
  • To comply with all Health and Safety legislation and policy in the performance of the duties of the post
  • To prepare, develop and carry out all practical and theoretical training work as directed
  • To assist in the formulation of new/revised procedures which will benefit PD Ports and clients
  • To assist in the development of the Quality Assurance programme
  • To assist in the formulation of new/revised procedures which will benefit PD Ports
  • To report on the outcome of the Quality Assurance monitoring visits
